The Gorean Woman – Unfairly done by ??

This post is submitted on the instructions of her Master. It is based on a journal entry kari presented to him on her views about the Gorean Woman, and how she believes that the author of the Books, took two major elements of womanhood.. sexuality and motherhood.. and separated them to a large degree with the creation of the Gorean Free Woman who must be circumspect about her sexuality, and the Gorean slave girl who may only bear children if her Master permits it. To all intents and purposes, kari believes that John Norman divides the nature of women in half.. placing one half within the persona of the Gorean Free Woman, and the other half within the persona of a slave.

The Gorean Free Woman is permitted to be an intelligent and productive member of her city, society and family. She is sometimes well educated (not always within poorer or peasant households) and always well respected. She has legal rights to own property, be it real estate, businesses, slaves, money, etc.. She is not only entitled to speak her mind and voice her opinions, but also within the dictates of Gorean Society she is expected to be listened to. She is in her capacity as Free Companion, the mother of children and heirs. She runs households, sometimes businesses. Depending on the nature of each relationship, she may often be a great source of support and assistance to her Free Companion, a loyal and trusted confidante and partner, although not equal. PHD Dissertation cites Gorean Palaces

Today I was out reviewing Google’s Webmaster tools and noticed a link to the Blog that was very unusual.  I connected to it and found a 225 page PDF document.  It was a “Dissertation for the Degree of Doctorate in Techno Science presented at Blekinge Institute of Technology in 2011.” The title was “Power Games: Rules and Roles in Second Life.”

I found it very interesting that Gorean Palaces was quoted in a Swede post graduate project and even more interested that, although the scope was more along the lines of Second Life, our Forum was included as an example of the dynamic of Gorean Masters whether in agreement or disagreement. ↓ Read the rest of this entry…

Feast of En’Var has a great week!!!

The Feast of En’Var at the Sardar Fairs has come to an end after a very enjoyable week of Gorean Events.

Palace Chat enjoys the Sardar Fairs 4 times a year and the committee has done a superb job this year bringing everyone together: Free Men, Free Women,  slaves, as well as BDSM Dominants, and submissives all get to participate in the Gorean event.  All are welcome but the only requirement is that your respect the ways of Gor.

The final event of the night was a play, that if we had a strong Caste of Players would have been theirs to do; but we all did our best and enjoyed the festivities.

The following video was presented last night at the closing ceremonies; hope you enjoy it.

The Tomba Affair

Setting

It is the Business District at the Fortress of Saphronicus inside a typical tavern, with low tables all around, many patrons enjoying the drink and pleasures of a Gorean night.

Time

It is a warm night during the First Passage hand, everyone happy to see the end of a long winter, and the start of the New Year.  Men of business travel to and from the Sardar Fairs stop in to do business in Saphronicus.

Scene 1: Rooms over tavern of the Morning Dew – Just after Dusk

Scene 1: Tavern of the Morning Dew – The 19th ahn

Scene 2: Physician’s office – The 20th ahn.

Scene 3: Tavern of the Morning Dew – The morning after 3rd Ahn

 

Characters

 

Anna: A blonde slave owned by Trantium owner of the Tavern of the Morning Dew.

 

Antonium: Young apprentice Guardsman in the employ of Trantium.

 

Camelia: slave of Markus, young and delicious.

 

Deena: Young tower slave of the Lady Pelagia

 

Lady Pelagia: Free Companion to Trantium, she helps manage the business side of the Tavern

 

Magistrate Rojas: Elder man and Magistrate of Fortress of Saphronicus.

 

Markus: Caste of Physicians and involved in the political side of Fortress of Saphronicus

 

Nicolas: A mixture between the Caste of Warriors, Caste of Drunks (if there were one) and the Caste of Assassins, her fought in the Cosian War, and spent most of it behind enemy lines spying for Kroto the General that led Fortress of Saphronicus and its tributary villages to freedom.  He tends to drown his memories in paga, slaves, and a cynical attitude.

 

Sergeant Vendredi: Sergeant of the Guard, large strong man and likely a member of the Caste of Warriors.

 

Tarl:  Figure it out

 

Trantium: Caste of Merchants and owner of the Tavern of the Morning Dew

 

Tulip: Dark haired, sensually and voluptuously figured slave of the Tavern of the Morning Dew
